I'm Rae
My name is Rae Bearder (née Le Page) and I was born and bred in Guernsey. I make a large variety of baskets and sculptures, from Panier a Cou to horse sculptures. I grow the willow organically on my own land in the Vale, then harvest, sort and prepare it by hand.

Rae's Willowcraft is all about weaving baskets, creating willow products and offering everyone - young or old - the opportunity to create something beautiful from willow and other natural products.​

I use Guernsey grown willows to create beautiful, useful, carbon negative willow products. Finding calm in the craft. I teach every stage of willow work, from growing and hand-harvesting to shaping natural, handmade creations. ​
Inspiration
I draw inspiration from Guernsey's beautiful natural environment and rich heritage. My baskets build on traditional designs, blending classic elements with contemporary functionality.
