Skibs are originally from Ireland, where they were used as straining and serving dishes, as well as hung on walls as decorative objects.  My skibs are perfect fruit bowls, or look wonderful on a kitchen wall.  They are 38cm wide (including border) and 6cm deep.  Colours will vary, but there will always be many of them.
